Hi there
My name is Kadir Gecit, I’m a web dev / digital designer and full stack software engineer. I have a passion for all things technology and design, from software engineering & machine learning to UI/UX & 3D graphics.
In addition to my love of technology and design, I am also interested in education, history, economics and politics.
Below are details of some of the projects I have developed over my seven plus years of coding experience.
Projects
Folio (This Website)
2024
- TypeScript
- WebGL
- Shader Language
- Web Dev
This was a project I built for fun over one of my sleepless night, built in TypeScript and THREE.js, it contains a number of nifty features such as: a 3D retro computer that you can interact with, a very simple UNIX shell implementation, a files system implementation, markdown interpreter and renderer, and a text layout engine.
My Own Large Language Model
2023
- Python
- LLama
- Parsing
- Math
I’ve always been intrigued by the development of language models, and recently, I found the time to dive deeper into this field. Over a break, I decided to embark on an exciting project—creating my own large language model. My model consists of two primary components: a robust tokenization and pre-processing module that converts raw text into meaningful input representations; and a sophisticated transformer-based architecture that processes this input to generate coherent and contextually accurate text predictions.
My model currently supports advanced features such as attention mechanisms, fine-tuning capabilities for various tasks, and the ability to handle diverse prompts effectively. I plan to further enhance it by integrating better handling of multi-modal data, improving its comprehension of rare languages, and optimizing it for lower-latency inference. Additionally, I am exploring techniques for distributed training and model quantization to improve performance and scalability.
This represents just a small selection of the projects I have worked on over the years. I have many more pieces of personal, university and design work.
